Changelog
What's new
Everything that has changed, newest first. Worth checking before term starts — several of these are things people had asked for.
July 2026
Number sense, paper sizes and a tidier studio
| New | Four number-sense tiles — number bonds (circles or bar model), ten frames, number lines and hundred charts. Each has a reference mode that prints the complete version with nothing to answer, for pinning on a wall. |
| New | Six paper sizes — Letter, A4, Legal, A5, A3 and Tabloid. The preview is drawn at the real dimensions, so an A5 page looks like A5. |
| New | Ink-saver and N-up printing. Lighten guide lines and rules without touching question text, and put two or four worksheets on one physical sheet. |
| Fixed | Exported PDFs are named after the worksheet rather than the app, including the student name and the topics on the sheet. |
| Fixed | Answer blanks now sit on the writing line instead of floating mid-height — most visible in comparison questions. |
| Fixed | Section and question numbers are bolder and survive a photocopy. |
| Changed | The studio's side panel is now three tabs — Build, Sheet and Print — instead of seven stacked blocks. |
| Removed | The starting dot on letter tracing. It sat in one fixed position for every letter, which is right for very few of them. Proper per-letter start points are on the roadmap. |
July 2026
Spiral review, practice plans and support settings
| New | Spiral review — a compact page taking a couple of questions from every skill, repeated across up to 30 days. Morning work and bell ringers without the assembly. |
| New | Practice plans — the same worksheet printed once per weekday, dated in advance, with fresh questions each day. |
| New | Show me how — an optional worked example above each section, explaining the method to whoever is helping. Generated from the same calculation as the questions, so it always matches. |
| New | Readability and support settings — text up to 150%, wider line spacing, four to twelve questions per page, boxed digit columns, and a more readable font. |
| New | Timed drill layout — dense grid, no numbering, with time and score boxes. Question ceiling raised to 100 on the four operations. |
July 2026
Two doorways, class sets and shareable worksheets
| New | Parent and teacher doorways. The same engine, but different defaults, wording and starting shelf — parents start from what a child is stuck on, teachers from grade and coverage. |
| New | Print runs — up to 40 copies with different questions on each, or the same skills retuned across a grade range, from a single print. |
| New | Save and share. Worksheets autosave, can be saved by name, and Copy link produces a URL that rebuilds the exact worksheet — same questions — on any device. |
| New | Twelve parent presets named after what actually goes wrong: mixes up b and d, still counting on fingers, gets lost borrowing, doesn't know times tables. |
What's next
- Word problems with your own list of names, so the questions use the children in front of you.
- Standards alignment — the main thing standing between tilo and formal school adoption.
- A bundled handwriting font, so the ruled lines are identical on every device.
- Phonics — CVC words, digraphs and blends, against a very large demand and a single tile today.
- Geometry — shape recognition, area and perimeter.
Nothing here is a commitment to a date.
